I'm currently using MS Word 2007 to write this entry. The new MS Word has this capability of publishing your entry directly from Word to your Blog. This is kinda cool. I'm really reaping the benefits of buying an original Office 2007 software.

I also fiddled with One Note 2007. I love this program. It's a digital notebook where you could do just about anything. I use it for doing unnecessary things like copying recipes from the internet, getting pictures of clothes, compiling my schedule. It's a virtual organizer, calendar, doodle pad, scrap book rolled into one program. Love it!

First and foremost, happy birthday to my mother dear! Hehe. I miss you! Sobra. Sana natanggap mo na ang e-card. Hehe. Sensya na. Yun lang ang kaya ko. Hehe. I love you! Take care.

If I were rich, I would've sent you Jimmy Choo shoes. You love shoes, eh! Hehe... Di bale, there will come a time I will be able to buy you things that you desire and we'll travel and see the world. I won't promise. I'm not good at keeping promises. Basta!

To other things...

My days of sleeping, and pigging out on whatever is on the fridge is going to be over. I'm back to school by Monday. I'm feeling really lazy.

This sem is not as toxic as the past semesters but, this sem is the most critical. It is the hanging bridge between student life and real life. My career is on the line. I can't believe that I just said that. Wow. Career. This is it!

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings will be my NCM115 Lectures and in the afternoon, I will be attending my in-house reviews. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays are clinical rotations. I'm excited to go back to Liliw Laguna for my community duty. I am also looking forward to my ER rotations. Hay. Pero, I am not fond of the graveyard shifts. I think we have four graveyard shifts. Argh.

Last Thursday, after the enrollment and the orientation, I went to Greenbelt because I wanted to buy a DVD of AL Gore's Academy Award Winning film, An Inconvenient Truth: A Global Warning (AIT). So, I went to Music One with an intention of buying only one film but, I ended up buying four titles. I bought three Discovery Channel documentaries and a VCD of An In Convenient Truth.

The movie AIT was so alarming and it really struck something in me. I was deeply touched by the film. I was ashamed of myself. Really. But what this film does is that it gives you an option to do better. The most touching part for me in the film was the animated polar bear trying to cling on a floating ice but, he died eventually because of the long distance he had to swim through to reach a safe place. Hay. Grabe! One thing I pledge to do is to learn more about the ways I could help the place we live in. I will make myself informed and put my knowledge into action.

Visit http://www.climatecrisis.net

Last Thursday, I also went to Powerbooks to buy books. I bought The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud (TDALOC) by Ben Sherwood and Gone with the Wind (GWTW) by Margaret Mitchell.

I've finished reading TDALOC. It wasn't disappointing but I think that the reviews were overrated for the book. It isn't as touching as Nicholas Sparks' The Notebook. The book was nice. I think its very Hollywood-y. I think it would be a good Hollywood film especially if Clint Eastwood would direct it. But, I don't think he'd do this film. The story is not as compelling as Million Dollar Baby, and Mystic River. But, who knows, he could work his magic on the story and make it beautiful.

The story has magical elements to it. Sometimes, it is believable other times, its not. The love story between Charlie and Tess is the kind of story that is not that believable. There is something missing. Their love story didn't capture me but the character of Charlie St. Cloud is someone that I wish was real. Hay. Its mediocre. Gosh. I can't believe I said that to a book which Nicholas Sparks said was 'touching, wise, and full of hope'. Anyway, kanya kanyang taste. I'd give 5.5 stars out of 10.

Five days ago, I saw Mystic River, a film by Clint Eastwood. It was great. I just loved the way how Mr. Eastwood tells the story in a very simple way yet, its simplicity is intense. The film is a tragedy. And, it really breaks my heart that it is such. I was so drawn with the three main characters, I was really hoping for a positive ending for them. Clint Eastwood delivered the story in such a way that you really felt the emotion of the characters. You really know the characters. Its as if I am part of their friendship. Grabe!

The actors were also great. No surprise with Sean Penn winning the Academy Award for Best Actor. Super! I totally forgot that he was Sam in I am Sam. He is so believable. Its amazing how he shows such emotion with great intensity and simplicity. It was effortless for him. And, Tim Robbins. Wow. He was great, too. I am really not familiar with Tim Robbins but with the way he protrayed a man who was damaged from molestation as a kid. Man, it was great! The whole cast was great! Kevin Bacon, Laura Linney, Laurence Fishburne. The movie is 9 stars out of 10. Galing!

Hay. Ganda talaga.

Last night, I saw Unfinished History: JFK Assassination in Discovery Channel. It was freaky. The episode attempted to answer the mysteries surrounding the JFK Assassination through the use of the lenses during that fateful day. The historians gathered pictures, films that were taken during that day and placed it in the site of the parade and the assassination. Its fascinating how from different angles you could see the horror of the murder of a person. The episode was fascinating, thrilling, and sickening at the same time. While I was watching, I can't help but gasp in horror. Grabe! Ibang level talaga. Gusto ko tuloy mag-dig deeper into the JFK Assassination. I'm really intrigued.

Boob Tube. Watch the latest season of Grey's Anatomy every Monday in Studio 23, Heroes eat Crime and suspense, Prison break at Crime and Suspense. Amazing Race Season 12 at AXN. America's Next Top Model at ETC, and Amazing Race Asia 2 at AXN. Wooohooo!!!

I hope to finish reading Gone with the Wind, A Million Little Pieces, and Never Let Me Go before 2008.

GOD bless!

I had a terrible day. The money that my father sent through Western Union is still with them. They wouldn't let me claim it because I am short of one ID card. See here's the problem, I only have one ID and that is my School ID. I am not a registered voter so, I don't have a Voter's ID. We don't have a car so, I don't have a driver's license. I am not working so I don't have SSS, GSIS, etc. My passport is already expired. Damn it! How could I possibly claim it? They kept on telling me that I should have an NBI Clearance. Eh, how would I be able to get an NBI Clearance? First, my school doesn't require that and I am not yet working. Second, its Sunday!

I went there at about 10 AM and they said all that crap. So, I asked if there was any other way that I could claim the money for my tuition. They said that I should bring my birth certificate and my registration form this sem. I said that how could I give them my reg form for this sem eh, the money needed for my enrollment is with them.

Anyway, I went home to get a photocopy of my birth certificate (BC). So, when I went back, I expected that I will finally be able to claim the money. But, when I presented my BC, the lady said that they still wouldn't release the money because what they needed was the original BC. Hello? First of all, when I asked earlier, they didn't specify that I should bring the ORIGINAL copy. Second, why would I bring the original when even schools don't require the ORIGINAL. Certified True copies will do. Frustration is an understatement of what I felt. Dang it! I was cursing them in my head. Damn it!

After that, I went home. I was so frustrated I slept and tried to forget about it. When I went back to Western Union, I brought folders containing original BCs of our whole family. I brought all my IDs (college lang). I also brought even my expired Passport as well as my father's ID. I mean everything would prove that I am not a fraud and that the money is really intended for me. But guess what, when I went back, they said that they are out of funds and that I should go some other time.

The whole ordeal of going back and forth to Shaw Blvd. was tiring, irritating, frustrating, and most of all, expensive. When I went home, I just couldn't contain myself and I cried. See, here's the thing, I am not the kind of person who demands, and shouts at employees when they don't get what they deserve as a customer. I couldn't stand for what I deserve. I just sit and let them give me less of what I deserve. I am a pushover. Argh! I am not an honorable woman (Please watch Episode 2 of Grey's Anatomy Season 4 to find out why I think I am not honorable).

I pray that they don't encounter someone who presents two IDs but turns out to be a fraud.

To better things...

Advance happy birthday to mama and papa! Mama, you will be forever 24 years old for me. Hehe... Papa, you will always be better looking than Christopher De Leon.

Belated happy birthday Aeda! I miss you friend! Super nalito talaga ako. Feeling ko September 26 ang birthday mo. Mali pala. Happy birthday! May you have more fulfilled and GOD-centered years!

Couchpotato-ness...

AXN had a one hour special yesterday and presented the racers for the new season of The Amazing Race Asia (TARA). I was thrilled to find that Marc Nelson (model, host of Sports Unlimited) is there and Rovilson Fernandez (host of Game Plan, editor of Maxim) is also there. God! uber HOT si Marc Nelson!

I saw Marc Nelson once in Play Underground in Powerplant. And, grabe! He's better looking in person. Hay! Hot! As in.

Sizzling. Hot. --- Tagline ng billboard ni Marc Nelson sa EDSA. For Kenny Rogers. Yummy!

Hay. As long as the two Filipino teams are in the race, I won't stop watching TARA2.

Christmas is coming. I'll be posting my wish list. Watch out for it. Hehe.

First and foremost, belated happy birthday to my most missed friend - Aeda Ruth Roy San Diego. Di ka na teen. As in totoo. Wah. I miss you Ada! Uwi ka na dito. Di ko nakakalimutan yung date natin pag-uwi mo dito. Manonood tayo Little Mermaid ng Trumpets. Love you.

Next. Thanks.

Darn. Hell week na naman. I don't know how to squeeze in everything with the time I have. There are quizzes in ER, finals in ER, finals in EENT. And then, there's Research. There's the defense. Pagod na ako. Super masama na talaga ang pakiramdam ko. Ilang days pa, bibigay na talaga tong katawan ko. Feeling ko magkaka-lagnat na ako in three days.

I am totally drained. Hirap na ako. Deadlines. Finals. Potek! Hirap na talaga ako. GOD, I lift up everything to YOU. Help me carry my burdens. Wah.

What do you call male bitches?

There are just some egotistical, selfish, self-centered, in-denial gay guys. Good thing he doesn't read this. He is more obsessive compulsive than I am. He worries about things that shouldn't need worrying. He's self-centered. He thinks that everything is about him. I'll refer to him as Mitch - as in, male bitch. I so want to tell him this, "You know what, you are not Ally McBeal because you don't look cute when you let everything revolve around you. You think everything is personal. You have this Savior, Grandiosity Complex which is anything but funny, and cute. So, will you please stop and just get lost. And, you have the nerve to turn everything against me. Mitch! Go to hell."

Its been ages since I have posted my last entry. I would be a liar if I said I was too busy to write. I am busy but I am just too lazy to try to write. Anyway, I don't need to explain. Its not like I have a following.

These past few days, I've been watching Ally Mc Beal on DVD. I am done with Seasons 1 and 2. I love the show! Its funny yet touching at times. Its so nice to tackle the eccentricities of human beings. What's even better is that they sure have great music played during the show.

The show is about lawyers getting through their adult life. They are the weirdest yet very lovable characters that you'd ever see in television. Its weird how they hear songs by Barry White, and Al Green from their heads and dance to it. They have weird dance steps, as well.

What I am most intrigued is the way they treat love in the story. Love is treated in different ways. There's a lot of love.

I am still a firm believer of happy endings but, I keep an open mind of the possibility of having a tragic end. What I am most bothered is the fact that in the show, some people have become so cynical about love.

I do believe in happy endings. And happy endings doesn't always mean that you are with someone. You could be alone yet still be happy. I believe that each one of us has somebody. GOD created that somebody for us. I know it. And, its up to us to find them.

I still have the Transformers hang-over. I really love the movie. Its even better than SpiderMan 3. Its funnier and has more action-packed scenes. Shia was great and was very charming in the film. He still has that Even Stevens quirkiness, and charm. I love it! I'll definitely watch Disturbia. So, you better watch Transformers because you'd really miss a lot if you don't.

Its the start of our 1-week vacation. Yeah! You heard it right. One week. Well, better than nothing. See, here's the problem, I only have one week and yet I still have a lot of things to do for our community documentation. This has been such a plague. Although, I really enjoyed our 3 week stint at Baybay Sapa, this documentation stuff has been such a pain. I get tired of doing the documentation. And, when I close my eyes to sleep, all I coild think about is the documentation. Its haunting me! This stuff which is supposed to be a group work - well, about 75% of it, I made it myself. Sheesh...

Hay! Kaasar!

Today is Election Day in the Philippines. And, although I am not yet a registered voter these are the candidates that I would have voted for.

  1. Manny Villar - because of his rags to super rich story; and, well he has a very nice ad; and he's the only one who could shake his hips in that weird, awkward, and funny way
  2. Kiko Pangilinan - because I think he is very intellectual and I think he is approachable; and, c'mon, he is Sharon's husband
  3. Chiz Escudero - he delivers his points very well; I believe he is very principled; and he looks like Bamboo
  4. Alan Cayetano - I think he is principled and I think that he listens; plus, his brother Lino Cayetano is super cute
  5. Joker Arroyo - I think that his image in the Erap case still sticks to my head; Plus, pag bad ka, lagot ka!
  6. Mike Defensor - he is very loyal; I think loyalty is a great quality and although, I believe he is loyal to the wrong person, I still believe that that quality of his stands out; plus, si tol yan noh! ine-endorse siya ni manny pooh-quiao tsaka ni keanna... hehe...

Crap! I typed something in here and I think I pressed something that totally erased everything that I've written. Now, I am pissed!

Catching Up

Its been ages since my last post. I've been busy. I still am busy. But, thank GOD for a three-day vacation and I am able to do trivial things that doesn't concern school.

School's been such a pain. I have a very tight schedule. I have lots of things to do. And, most importantly, I have to go to my hospital duties this summer. The only thing that's keeping me sane is the thought that I only have one week left of this duty and I will be free. Well, free for just one week. I can't complain. One week is good enough.

Anyway, I have a lot of stories that I wasn't able to write about. That sucks, you know. But, those stories will always be forever etched in my memory.

Wow. I am just so giddy about this new template. I really like it. Although, I would have loved if the creator of this template made this template in pink. I am really fond of the color pink. I think its cute. Hehe...

I still have a lot of things to do. But, I'd like to indulge in writing about my guilty pleasure - TV Shows.

The Amazing Race All Stars is already finished and I am certainly not happy with the results. It would have been a great season if Charla and Mirna won the race. I mean, they certainly have gone through and succeeded great challenges. Actually, I would have loved if Dustin and Kandice also won. Okay, I am becoming shady. Lets put it this way. It would have been great if Eric and Danielle lost. I don't like them. I just don't. Argh...

I am beginning to regret that I haven't been religiously watching American Idol. From the clips that I have seen, I think the Bon Jovi night was great. I wasn't able to watch it. Grr... The last thing I saw was the BeeGees night where surprisingly, Lakisha (I have no idea how to spell her name) was eliminated. I actually thought that Lakisha ang Doolittle (I am still not sure about the spelling) will be the final two contestants.

Gilmore Girls is cancelled. After seven seasons, they are going to leave our TV sets. Not only is Gilmore Girls cancelled, 7th Heaven is also cancelled. This just sucks. I really love these two shows. Oh well. I am going to miss Rory, Lorelai, Ruthie, Lucy, Matt, Kevin, and the Twins, and oh, Mr. & Mrs. Camden.

I am enjoying Heroes. And, I can't wait for the complete seasons of Grey's, House, Prison Break to be sold in the malls.

I can't believe that anybody is capable of killing 32 people. I can't believe someone is capable of killing. This is just horrendous. Terrifying is just an understatement of what transpired in VA Tech. I am thinking that maybe he's been going through a lot and that he just snapped. But, we all go through tough stuff. Killing is never a solution. Oh, God. I am scared. Really scared.

Its been ages since my last entry. And, a lot of things happened. Many things. Things... I'll probably never forget. And, of course, things I'd like to forget.

Lapit na ang bakasyon... Ma-uupdate ko din ito... Super busy lang talaga sa school...
