rob. kumain kami sa tokyo tokyo. first time ng kapatid ko. hehe. natuwa naman ako kasi nabusog siya. tapos nun nakasalubong namin ang mga townes personalities. ayun konting kamustahan. umalis na kami ng kapatid ko. nakasalubong namin ang urey '02 personalities. niyaya nga kaming manood ng sine kaya lang ayaw ng kapatid ko. so, pumunta na lang kami sa pink box. gusto rin niya kasi yung bracelet ko. binili ko siya tapos bumili na naman ako ng mga scrunchies. tapos nun ay naglakad lakad kami. napagdesisyonan namin na magpa-studio. ayun, picture picture. dumaan kaming odyssey at bumili ako ng first original cd ko ang album ni nyoy tapos bumili din ako ng tape ng mymp. naaasar nga lang ako nung nandoon kami sa odyssey kasi may couple na ang yabang. basta, nilalait nila yung mymp. wala lang. hindi ako fan pero exagg sila manglait. sheesh. tapos, dumaan kami gift gate. tingin ng trinkets at kung anu ano pa. umalis na kami. daan kaming blue magic. bumili ng gift para kay mama para sa mother's day. hehe. kinuha namin yung pic. umuwi na kami.
sumakay kami sa fx. ang baho ng fx na nasakyan namin. as in! parang socks na nabubulok. basta! buti na lang may hanky kami ng kapatid ko. tsaka buti rin at sfonx yung katabi ko. hehe.

nalaman ko na yung results dun sa st. lukes college of nursing a.k.a. trinity college of quezon city test ko. pumasa ako! i am so happy -- not! napaka-ipokrita ko kung sasabihin kong napakasaya ko dahil pumasa ako sa test na yun. masaya ako kasi at least, may school na akong papasukan. malungkot ako kasi goodbye UP na talaga! siguro nga ay mas makakabuti sa akin kung magiging nurse ako. ewan ko kung paano siya makakabuti pero alam ko may magandang mangyayari.

Naku. Pasensya at hindi ako nakapag-update. Eh kasi naman ubos na yung prepaid ko.
Anyway, marami-rami din naman ang nangyari sa akin noong nakalipas na mga araw. Karamihan ay magaganda. Masaya nga ako eh.
One week before April 29 ay nag-umpisa na akong magreview para sa test ko sa Trinity College. Yung review ko ay hindi naman OA sa pagrereview. Yung tipong sasagot lang sa mga alam na questions. So, ayun. Napansin ko ang dami ko palang mga review materials. Ang dami kong pina-photocopy sa iba't ibang tao tapos may MSA review books pa ako. Ang nagamit ko lang sa mga iyon (last year tsaka ngayong year), ay yung MSA at yung ibang Math review materials ni Nabong at ni Rizsa. Ang dami talaga. Hindi ko naman nagamit. As in soobrang dami! Lagpas one ream! Ang mahal noh?
April 28. Pumunta kaming JVC Repair Center sa may Guadalupe, Makati near Rockwell. Nasira kasi yung TV namin. Bukas ko pa nga makukuha eh. Nakakaasar may na miss na akong episode ng Alias. Sayang! Ang mahal! Mga less than Php 4,000 ang babayaran ko. Take Note: KO! As in with my OWN money eh kasi, hindi pa nagpapadala ng money si mama, eh. So, ayun. Kung sa bagay, ako rin naman ang makikinabang.
April 29. My test was supposed to start at 9 o'clock pero nag-start siya around 9.30 nah. Marami kasi ang late, eh. Muntik na akong ma-late, actually. Mga 8:50 na yata ako nakarating. Anyway, four-part-test siya. Umm... Nagulat nga ako, eh, kasi walang Science. Bali, English, Math, Verbal sumthin (parang , and OLSAT. Sa totoo lang, iba pa yung tawag nila sa English and Math. Yung English ay pure error detection. Yung Math, umm, no comment. Baka mangyari yung nangyari sa akin sa UST. Yung Verbal, pure english-related-analogy. OLSAT naman ay mixed test. May Math at may Abstract. Less than 3 hours lang yung test at all in all ay 190 yung items. (Pag pumasa ako magbibigay ulit ako ng 'review')
In fairness sa Trinity, maganda naman ang school nila. Siguro mga kasing laki niya yung MaSci pero pahaba. Malinis siya. Tsaka yung color combination makes me think of La Salle.
Siya nga pala, bago ko makalimutan, yung test proctor namin -- he reminds me of Sir Nuval. Ewan ko? As in. Actually, may pagka-bakla nga siya, eh, pero hindi halata. Pero, pramis, naaalala ko talaga si Sir Nuval. Siguro, yung mga hirit na jokes. Hay! Ewan!
Pagkatapos nung test ay pumunta akong Robinson's Place nang mag-isa. Umm... Napansin ko, nagswitch pala yung Entrance and Exit nila. Umm... Nakaka-ewan mag-mall-ing nang mag-isa. Kumain ako sa McDo tapos pumunta ako sa Heavenly Stitching (Stitches) para bumili ng mga DMCs. Bumili ako ng 10 na DMCs at hindi ko alam na nag-increase na pala sila. Mga Php 10.00 lang yun eh tapos hindi ko alam na Php 12.50 na pala siya! Grabeh! Binili ko pa rin naman. So, yun. Bumaba na ako. Tapos may napansin akong stall. Ang cute nung stall. Ako naman ay tumingin. 'Yun na pala ang stall na matagal ko ng hinahanap. Pink Box -- yan yung name nung stall. Mga girlie stuff yung tinitinda nila. Mga scrunchie, mga personalized bracelets, anklets, necklace, key chains atbp. Bumili ako ng scrunchie (pink+blue, brown+flesh, light blue+light green, purple+yellow). Bumili din ako ng personalized na bracelet (alam ni AK kung anong klaseng bracelet 'yun kasi nagpabili ako dati sa kanya eh...). Yung mga scrunchie tig-20 or 25 lang. Yung bracelet band was worth Php 120.00 tapos yung letters Php 20.00 each. Grabeh! Yung bill ko umabot ng Php 305.00. Ang gastos ko talaga! Pagkatapos sa Pink Box ay pumunta akong National Bookstore. Supposedly, bibili ako ng book at ng scrapbook thingies, pero I ended up buying The Purpose Driven Life and The Purpose Driven Life Journal. May mga binili din ako na iilang bagay. Umabot ang aking ginastos ng mga Php 400 ++. Grabe talaga! Ang gastos ko! Pumunta akong Papemelrotti (single l or double l?). Pero, hindi na ako bumili. Ayun, window-shopping! Nakakaasar! Dapat ay may money pa ako para nakabili pa ako ng t-shirt! Grr...

Had an interesting phone conversation with my friend Dave the other night. The topic of discussion was "American Idol," which, for two guys of our age, was sad or cute, depending on how you see things.
What was fascinating about the talk was Dave's perspective on the mega-popular competition, which airs Tuesday and Wednesday nights on Fox.
You see, when he isn't in his secret identity as "my friend Dave," he's David S. Bunch, professor of management at the University of California, Davis.
According to Dave - excuse me, Professor Bunch - "Idol" proceedings can be analyzed using marketing concepts. It's tempting to think of the audience-participation process of "Idol" using an election analogy. After all, viewers place toll-free calls to vote for their favorite singer.
In an election, however, each person is allowed to vote only once, whereas viewers can place as many "Idol" vote calls as they want. In this regard, "Idol" is more like a market.
"When viewers cast votes, they are making `purchases'," Bunch says. "The `price' they are paying is in the form of the time and effort they are making to cast the votes (because calls are free)."
In any given week, Bunch says, "we can regard the current selection of ("Idol") competitors as a set of competing `products.' Each week, the product with the lowest `sales' is forced to `go out of business'."
With this in mind, it's possible to examine the products and attempt to predict which one might disappear in any given week, especially if you have an understanding of the concept of market segmentation.
"A market segment is a group of buyers who exhibit very similar preferences and behavior," Bunch says. "The key questions are: How many market segments are there, how many people are in each segment, and what are the preferences and behaviors of each segment." It's also important to note not only which product the segment likes best, but how often they are willing to vote, and if they are motivated to vote for multiple candidates.
With many products, such as the "Idol" finalists, there can be situations where similar products can act as "substitutes," dividing votes across those products.
For instance, the two Hawaiian competitors, Jasmine Trias and Camile Velasco, found themselves in the bottom three one week, having split their market segment. Velasco was voted off. The following week, with her market segment reunited, Trias was not in the bottom three, but the two products of the Goofy White Kid segment, Jon Peter Lewis and John Stevens, were. Lewis got the boot.
This past Wednesday, Stevens was safe, while the three products of the Diva segment, Jennifer Hudson, La Toya London and Fantasia Barrino, were in the bottom three. Hudson was voted off. According to host Ryan Seacrest, the margin between Hudson and Barrino was the slimmest yet.
So, the Professor's market theories are holding up. Next week, if the trend continues, divas Barrino and London should again find their market segment split and themselves in the bottom three.
Bunch warns, however, that as the competition continues, and there are fewer "perfect" substitutes, it will be harder to predict who might drop out next. But he has a feeling that George Huff, who has no obvious substitute, will make it almost all the way to the end.
I'm not sure I understood all the market stuff Dave was telling me, but we did agree on one thing: We were both bummed that Amy Adams was voted off so soon.
Apparently he and I are in the drooling-middle-aged-man market segment.

Belo or Dr. Calayan… Wala lang… sa trinity college hindi rin ako pwede kasi dapat nasa upper 40% ako… kaya lang ako ay nasa upper 50%. pang 99.5 ako sa ranking. wala lang. siguro ay pinag-u-UP talaga ako ni GOD... ewan ko ba?!?!?!nakakaasar talaga ako. hindi ko ginalingan ngayong 4th year. masyado akong kampante. tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk… ano pa ba ang magagawa ko? wala na naman… hay buhay…

Studio 23 ran the 7th Heaven Marathon during these sacred days -- Good Friday and Black Saturday. Watching the show was as always, a very nice experience. The show teaches you a lot of things witout being preachy. Imparting its message in a subtle manner. I am really a fan of the show. David Gallagher and Adam LaVorgna -- they make me drool.

the new season of alias (studio 23) will kick off next next week! yipee!
camille velasco is the fourth idol to be eliminated (check out the american idol site). im quite depressed. i was really hoping that she would stay a little longer. i think that the three idols that would be left standing are: la toya, fantasia, and george. but i hope that jasmine would give a good fight. pinoi!!!
ei dont forget the 7th heaven marathon tomorrow and the day after next.

I want to have a very fruitful summer vacation. I want to make the most of my last summer as a childish-teenish-adultish person (what the f*ck?). Really! So, here are my goals which I really I want to accomplish:
1. to read the following books: Da Vincis Code (recommended by everybody), The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks, Les Miserables (i didn't finish this book but i got a pretty satisfactory grade in the les miserables test), Once Upon A... series (im a sucker for romance books)
2. to collect magazines such as Candy, Seventeen, Readers Digest (magazine ba 'to?)
3. to finalize my college plans - im still confused.
4. to arrange my things - throw the things which i don't need, arrange the things which are left, etc.
5. to budget the household money wisely - i was tasked by my parents to budget the household money. as u all know, my parents are not here. both of them are working abroad. actually, they were not here on my graduation (poor me!). anyway, they entrusted their atms and bank accounts to me. imagine!!! i am so elated. they trust me -- with money! im up for the challenge. and i hope that i won't destroy that trust. GOD help!
6. to do computer matters such as updating my blog, writing testimonials, etc.
7. to finish writing my letters to everybody
8. to finish my hs memorabilia
9. to eat less
10. to reflect
so help me GOD....

i cannot think of another word that would describe the grad ball other than -- UNFORGETTABLE. who could forget the very last night of batch 2004 together? who could forget the slideshow that showcased our highschool memories? who could forget the grand ballroom with a carpet-sized dance floor (i'm exaggerating here)? who could forget the call cards and internet cards that were being raffled? who could forget the "dance showdown" of mr. bangayan and maam carlos? who could forget miguel's inspiring speech? who could forget the light thingy that gave me the eye pain? who could forget THE DANCE (the dance may vary from one person to another)? who could forget the crying, the farewells? who could forget the very last dance -- the BATCH DANCE? tell me, who?
although the whole batch population was not present, it didn't really matter (well, for some it did). all of us were enjoying the evening (at least, i did). i really had a wonderful time. A VERY WONDERFUL TIME. i just wish that i taped every single moment of that night. it was so, so -- perfect. sigh.

after all na pinagpraktisan namin at pinaghirapan ni maam carlos at ng iba pang teachers, heto at bigla biglang babaguhin ang arrangement ng graduation exercises. hello?!?! sino po ba ang gragradweyt? kami di ba? so dapat lang may say kami. si maam herson kasi... matapos niyang magpalamig sa kwarto niya habang si maam carlos ay nagpapagod sa pag-mamanage ng graduation namin bigla na lang siyang mag-aapear at babaguhin ang pinaghirapan ni maam carlos. to hell with your so called protocol... fyi, the original arrangement was way better than the new one! may mga mata ba kayo? hindi niyo ba nakikita na mas maganda yung dati?!?! sheesh. pwede ba... wag niyo ng guluhin yung pinaghirapan namin. gusto ko sanang simulan ito ng sobrang saya pero napag-isip ko na mas maganda kung ayon sa oras ang aking pagkwekwento...
tumawag si nabong sa bahay kaninang umaga habang ako ay busy sa banyo at naliligo. sabi ng aking dear sister ay pinagdadala ako ni nabong ng necktie. magkita daw kami sa jbee un. tumawag ulit siya at sinabi niya ulit iyon sa akin. so, pumunta ako. pagdating ko dun wala pa siya. umalis ako. pumunta akong school dahil inaakala ko na nandun na siya pero wala pala! grabe! buti na lang at mabait yung guard dahil pinalabas niya ulit ako. siya nga pala mabuti rin at nakita ko si blessica at david dahil sinabi nila sa akin na si nabong ay nandun sa jbee. so nagkita kami at nagbihis siya. gusto ko sanang bumili ng food kaya lang nagtitipid ako eh (nagtitipid--since when?). pagdating dun ay siyempre practice na naman. si maam agravante ang moderator nung umpisa kaya lang... napaka-mapang-asar talaga ng aming batch at ayaw namin siyang sundin. nairita ang kawawa mong lola at pinag-break na lang kami. actually, naaawa na ako kay maam agravante kaya lang di ko talaga magawang maawa ng tuluyan sa kanya. tsk tsk tsk. too bad. nung si maam carlos na yung nagppractice sa amin, maasyos na. sort of... sort of... dahil sa may gagawin program sa audi, pinag-ayos na lang kami ng clearance tpos at 1500 ay intrams. nakakairita nga lang kasi hindi pa rin tapos ang clearance namin. sheesh! ampotek! naglinis kami ng chem room. konti lang ang tumulong halos puro girls except arman (nilalakad ang clearance), ejay, peter, pags at sino pa ba? yun lang yata eh. kairita! sumabay pa yung akit ng katawan ko. ewan ko ba! ang sama talaga ng pakiramdam ko. ang sakit ng ulo ko... latang lata ako. poor me! siya nga pala thank you vanny dahil binigyan mo ko ng ammonia. natuto rin akong mag gitara ngayong araw na ito. actually, yung intro lang ng stay ni lisa loeb. yipee! thank you paula at nabong!

first game: renjen vs moshies. yipee! panalo kami! ang close nung laban! lord salamat at pinabayaan niyo kaming manalo. sa moshies, congrats din dahil masaya ang laban. etong si maam carlos... papampam na naman kasi ayaw na naman kaming pag cheerin (read as: tsi-rhen) ayos lang. eto lang yata hinihintay ng katawan ko eh. nawala sama ng pakiramdam ko. congrats sa amin! at sa moshies! oi moshies may next game pa pala kayo.
second game: nuhtohn vs. lorenz. panalo lorenz. too bad gusto ko manalo nuhtohn eh... siyempre... lorenz tumalo sa amin. pero ampotek! ang lupit ng laro nila. puro deuce... heart stopping game... grabe!ang galing nila ross, roel, junnard, reineer, merwyn, diego! si jason, mike, albert, harold, erick, sino yung isa? i forgot. anyway. ang ganda talaga nung laban! sobrang galing nila! may laban pa naman ang nuhtohn eh... so oks lang...
third game: lawrence vs townes. panalo townes. neutral ako dito eh. kasi may chinecheer ako sa lawrence (ak, xy) at sa townes (kris)... wala lang... congrats na lang sa townes... ak, sigaw na lang tayo!

grabe! kaasar! talo kami... cry-not! syempre, mature na kami!
naku, hindi ako nakapag-update kahapon dahil tinatamad ako. actually, dapat ay gagawa ako ng mga letters na ipamimigay kaya lang tinamad na naman ako. oo, sakit ko na yang katamaran...
anyway, ngayong araw na ito ay so super. as usual, super gulo ng graduation practice ng umaga kasi maraming nakikialam namely babaeng malaki ang puwet (marami na siya!). pero mabuti na lang at maayos na yung practice nung hapon. hindi na si david ang aking partner, si jess na! grabe talaga! naku, si maam carlos may pinagawa na naman sa akin. wala lang. umm... kanina, ibinalik ko na yung mga libro na hiniram ko sa social studies department. dapat kasi instead na magbabayad ako ng fine ay magdodonate na lang ako ng libro kaya lang etong si maam jacob... sheesh... pinagbayad pa rin ako. 170 pesos. kaasar. sayang yung pera ko. siya nga pala kanina... feeling ko talaga na jajabs ako... hinihintay ko na nga lang ngayon eh. (sana po lumabas na siya!) umm... first time kaming na very good sa grad practice. tsaka maganda yung acapella (tama ba yung spelling?) version nung find us faithful-for me ha...

one game only. einstein vs roentgen. 3 sets. panalo einstein. tsk tsk tsk. sakit! sobraa... imagine, ako yung nag-uupdate nung schedule tapos tinanggal ko yung name ng roentgen sa volleybal boys. grabeh. sobrang nakakatense yung laro. actually, yung first set napaka walang kwenta talaga namin -- first game jitters? pero nung second set natalo namin sila. nung third set. woosh... close fight... nag deuce pa! (tama ba yung term ko?) pero talo pa rin kami. sayang talaga! gusto pa naman naming manalo (as if may team na gustong matalo?!) grabe! pray talaga ako ng pray... pero its his will... shongho!
siya nga pala gusto ko yung cheer ng aynstayn... go aynstayn hooo... go aynstayn hooo... go renjen hooo... go renjen hooo....
